Indiana Jones

yeah, the fridge is nothing compared to the Ark or the TLC's 'pick the wrong cup and you age to death' sequence...

But we accpeted those as part of the Indiana Jones universe and those artifacts create a great sense of awe.

The fridge is Indiana Jones hiding in a refrigerator.

I have no problem with the fridge. Typical Indiana Jones quick thinking. :D

The only "stunt" that ever bothered me in an Indy movie was the rubber raft that stayed jelly-side up. :rommie:

Yeah, I have more believability issues with dropping from an airplane on a liferaft and managing to land without breaking anyone's necks than hiding in a fridge as it gets blown away from a nuclear blast.

Say what people will about KOTCS, but I actually REALLY liked it, just as much as the first three movies.

Joy

I love all four movies because they're just that damn awesome. My weird fixation on Harrison Ford movies doesn't help with that, but I still like each movie on its own terms.

One thing I loved about Indiana Jones was the respect for, and perhaps even belief in, ancient cultures and religion. I always love the part in the Last Crusade when Indy says "Jesus Christ" and his dad (Sean Connery) slaps him and says "That's for blasphemy." It made them seem a little more real...

Yes, I like all the movies in the increasingly inaccurately named Indiana Jones Trilogy, too. :rommie:

I think Raiders was the best. Crusade a very close second.

I love the humor. I love that our Hero is good in a fight, but not a superhero. He's brave but he can be frightened, too.

And I love that Indy is a geeky but cool.

Yeah, I love the way they portray Indians in Temple of Doom and take a goddess that is important in my personal belief system and associate her with human sacrifice.

I'm not saying that there aren't some crazy sects out there and that Kali doesn't have elements of darkness, but man, was I disturbed to see that movie. I probably shouldn't tell people that my family performs Kali Puja every year.

On a positive note, I do overall enjoy Indiana Jones for the humor, action, and adventure. And Harrison Ford. I definitely enjoy Harrison Ford.

I love Indiana Jones and all three of his movies. One of the best trilogies of all time.
*facepalm*

I think the only stunt I could never really get behind was the jeep on the tree in KOTCS. A lot of the action was over-the-top in that flick but that's the bit that stands out.

And of course, the monkey swinging.

That was the only thing about KOTCS that I didn't like. The rest of it was fine by me.

Right:

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Last Crusade
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

;)

I'm not sure what this "Crystal Skull" thing is you're talking about.

It's the ine that is alot better than The Temple of Doom.

Your move.

No, my move! Indy 4 was not good.

I shouldn't be surprised that people defend Kingdom of the Crystal Skull here as debate rages for multiple threads over years as to why people don't like Insurrection/ Nemsis or The Final Frontier.

I like the fact that Temple of Doom had the mine car scene.
I like the fact that The Last Crusade had Sean Connery.
I like the fact that The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull not only referenced previous films, but even referenced an event that happened in the Young Indy Jones Chronicles, if I remember correctly.
I like the fact that Raiders of the Lost Ark is made of awesome.
