Indiana Jones 5!

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the first Indy movie that I found to be boring for long stretches. That was what I saw as its #1 failing, not anything about the subject matter. An Indiana Jones movie shouldn't be boring.

Clearly a lot of people didn't feel similarly. I'm glad that there's excitement about more movies.

Yeah, that too. I could have lived with the subject matter if it at least had the high energy and witty banter of the previous movies.

Instead we got dull, talky exposition about Mayan culture and a bunch of cheesy, cartoonish action that looked like it came out of the Mummy films. Ugh.

I agree here as well... For some reason, call it "lack of energy" or something, I couldn't get "hooked" into Kingdom like the old Indiana Jones movies. It felt like it was too "by the numbers" to me... Just IMO, of course.

Lucas: We're casting that right now and we're shooting in the spring. [/FONT]

That is exciting! This has been in development forever. But never has he said they are ready to shoot. He first said they same thing about KotCS two years. Days before production was formally announced. Lucas is very controlled in how he describes new projects. So this appears to be finally happening.

Yeah Red Tails (Tuskegee Airmen) is another film that sounds good

I'd love to hear something solid on this around Spring time that its a solid go.

I bought myself IJ:4 during a great Black Friday sale but have held out opening it just in case someone gets it for me for Christmas.
Its like torture knowing I could watch it but should wait. I saw it twice in the theaters.
