Incompetent colleagues - it's ranting time!

You know what to say when people mention "a real job"?

First you say "all work is noble"--or "they also serve, who only stand and wait."
Then you punch them in the face.

Isn't that how it always is?. You knock yourself out at a job--and you're invisible. Some screw up comes in though... Bosses kid--that type of thing.

We have a woman working at our company who wrote the number of an empty trailer going out on the bills of the full trailer that had been dropped--as if that made any sense AT ALL. But they won't get rid of her. Oh, no...

I guess it's also part of not wanting to admit that our bosses screwed up royally when they interviewed her and missed all clues that she wouldn't be able to cut it. It's reflecting bad on them if they had to admit to our department boss that she's not up to it because they may be asked why the interview didn't show any flaw and why she was kept after her 6 month probationary time so that's why she was kept and supported so much (also we have a huge workload sometimes and every person missing makes it ten times worse for others who have to pick up the work).

I shudder to think who else must have applied that she was the best choice, anyway.. i basically only have to tolerate her for 2 weeks now but i get uncharacteristically aggressive whenever she opens her mouth.. she think's she's funny but she's not, she tells all this personal stuff that nobody asked for and nobody cares about and she's just grating.

Her replacement has already started to work her but after a week you can't tell anything (also he was gone most of the week on our customary company tour through various departments so he gets to know the whole company). Fingers crossed he'll turn out better than her.

Speaking as the incompetent, couldn't give a shit, clock watching employee of every organisation I've ever worked for... I just want to say that this woman sounds glorious and I hope she successfully steals the seed of a rich man and gets all she wants in life.

Speaking as someone who has interviewed people for jobs, some people interview great but aren't that good at the job, others can interview poorly but be great for the job. But that's what probationary periods are for to determine if you are a good fit for each other.

A company I used to work for gave us all a pay cut during the recession, basically because they could. Following that, I swear I did virtually no work for about 18 months til I left.

given that the give and take in a work environment involves either. the hard working bee and the zero working bum(DNGN) and the delinquent negligent free radicals that sabotage all the other there including the one that does nothing goes nowhere...(DNGN) as we know these either's are all in a dynamic scenario of power struggles and roll-play systems of interchange and exchange...

to break this "loop" of - responses, reactions, actions, and their probability equations within and at all levels of work frames of perspective we find the social dynamic lost --- nothing would work right with or without ... each other... The best HOPE is to keep posting a Trekbbs and ignore the fact that the multi-realities and micro-macro roll-play going on right now in our mind has everything to do with the balance of power in our galaxy or universe where the cosmos is beyond - behind - beneath the very experience of time what is known as now ... and it is everywhere ----
