In Which Two Episodes . . .

to clarify, teaser meaning the scene before the normal opening credits, so the scene right after the "Space the final frontier........."

I'm glad you clarified that, ItsGreen as the teaser was always shown after the opening credits here in the UK in the seventies! :D

Yes guys, when I refer to the 'Teaser' I mean the opening scene before the credits, as per the original broadcast, and the 1990s VHS, DVDs, Blu Ray's etc. I.e. the scene prior to the episode title captions.

Still not there yet Spock's Barber. Another clue later.

"A Private Little War" (transporter room/Spock wounded/Nona spell with Kirk after cure of Mugatu bite)
"Elaan Of Troyius" (transporter room/ Petri wounded/ Kirk under love spell with Elaan's tears)

Correct ItsGreen! I might add that we open directly in the transporter room in these two episodes, without the usual exterior space or orbital shot.

I leave the transporter room in your capable hands Sir!

Aye laddie, (I knew this one would be easy) the only 2 episodes were he wears the tartan kilt and sporran. @Methuselah Flint the haggis is out of the fire and ready for you to cut it!

and Scotty I guess is the only one with 2 dress uniform options as he shows a different look in "Space Seed"

Clue # 1
In which two episodes are old-fashioned pills recommended for a different one of our heroes, in both episodes?

Man Trap and By Any Other Name?
In Man Trap, McCoy drugs himself. In BAON, McCoy dopes up Hanar with speed.

Afraid not Henoch. The doping up is an injection, not a pill. Interestingly enough, Tomar does have pills, but he is not a regular player, nor are his pills necessarily of the 'old-fashioned' kind. You're correct about the former episode though ;)

"Man Trap" and "For the World is so Hollow..." given to Mccoy by old man for strength and tasting like and old herb derivative

Nice answer, but again the old man gave McCoy at most a herbal supplement rather than a medicinal pill.

Clue # 5
Both episodes refer to poison or poisoning.

"Man Trap" and "A Private Little War" McCoy gives Kirk pills after she crowned him with a rock, Mugatu poison also
