In the Time of John Adams series What would your Job be

Well some of you would be inventors if that is your job.
What would you invent?
Me I would invent a new type of Plow hitch or a barn building assembly part that would allow for swift construction of a barn or stables.

I'd be a soldier in the US Army, just like I am right now.

I probably wouldn't be in Iraq though...

It would depend on what my ancestors at the time were doing, but if it were based on my current skills and interests, I probably would have been working as a printer, publishing books and newspapers and such. Maybe as a clerk or a notary.

I'd probably be dead.

Both sides of my family were still in England.

Several were Royal Navy and British Army, so, we'd probably be shooting at the Colonists!

I probably would have been married off to a poor farm boy as soon as I reached childbearing age. Then it would have been my job to stay pregnant, collect eggs from under chickens, help plow the fields, and encourage my good Christian husband in his aspirations to one day purchase an African slave of his very own. Then I'd reach my mid-30s and die of old age if tuberculosis didn't get me first.

You could always die in childbirth, so that's an option you don't want to overlook. It was a baby a year until the mid Century...
