In the Cards

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I lovve this episode. I would love for someone to start a Line-by-Line thread for this. How do I do that?

I love Geiger's plan. It may be "odd" and perfect some of the episode's comic zest, but I actually agree with his idea of cellular ennui.

Anyone else think that the Willie Mays baseball card was originally supposed to be the Mickey Mantle card from The Most Toys, but the producers decided Sisko should idolize a historic black baseball player instead? The reference to the card being on a derelict freighter is just too on the nose to not be.

Nah. Fajo's collection was confiscated and all the items were returned to their rightful owners.

In the Cards is my favorite comedy episode in all of Star Trek. Watching it to start a binge of the occupation arc actually makes it that much better.

Also, Weyoun. He makes every scene he's in awesome just by being there, and his appearances in this episode are truly comedy gold.

Couldn't agree more. Jeffrey Combs is just so much fun to watch. Doesn't really matter what character he plays.

"Mr. Combs, which Weyoun was your favorite?"

Sounds like a good convention question! Good for a few laughs and a few eye-rolls from others!

It's the kind of question I'd ask. In any case, I like it how the thread's turned into an ode to Weyoun's awesomeness. :p

I'm pretty sure Combs has said he really enjoyed playing the defecting Weyoun in "Treachery, Faith and the Great River".

To be serious for a moment, that was the only one that was at all a different character, so he pretty much has to choose between one of the "normal" clones, or the treasonous one.
