I'm not sure if my contribution about lasers and gravity was transferred to a different forum or if it was just closed. But, I read a couple versions of this article, and I interpreted them as saying that scientists had produced a laser that created enough gravity to crush a diamond. Whether they actually did that--why would they?--or not does not seem to have been spelled out. The main purpose was the theory.
True, it is pressure that would crush a diamond, but I think gravity produces pressure, or that at least the two are related. I'm not a brilliant scientist, but to me, gravity and pressure can have the same effect.
I thought this article might advance some knowledge or technology. That is why I shared it.
