In Loving Memory (The Shape of Things to Come Spoilers)

Starbreaker

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Let us all take a moment and remember three very important deaths in this episode:

Doug

Many of you may remember Doug. He played a very important part on Lost. Doug helped push the raft into the water. Doug was also featured prominently while standing at Shannon's funeral. He made the grave mistake of going with Locke.

Jerome

Poor, sweet Jerome. He was present at the first Island Open, chose not to help build the S.O.S. sign, and attended the funerals of Boone, Nikki, and Paulo. Jerome was also seen walking behing Sun while she contemplates leaving Jin at the airport.

Shot by Keamy, may they rest in peace.

I'll mourn the first guy who got shot, but not the second guy and the lady. Sawyer told them to get back inside, but they were too stupid to listen. :p

(Granted, they probably would've died when the house was blown up, anyways...)

Alex, on the other hand, I will always mourn. :(

Honestly, I thought it would just be an endless stream of Redshirt Losties coming out of the house and getting shot. Then Sawyer could have stacked their dead bodies like sandbags and used them for cover.

I believe the original plan was to send wave after wave of extras, until the Boaties reached their preprogrammed kill limits (a.k.a. the Brannigan maneuver).

It would have worked, too, if Scott/Steve hadn't missed his cue due to an misprint on the assignment sheet.

I have to admit, them going down like bowling pins was pretty funny.

Including the semi-regulars who were killed, it looks like they're trying to get the wage bill way down this season.

That's what I thought when they managed to kill of three of the supporting cast, two frequent background characters and only use Bernard and Rose in alternating episodes now.

Well no matter. I think it's safe to say millions of Lost fans soured on Jerome when he refused to help with the S.O.S. sign. It was definitely a turning moment. I imagine the bags of hate mail ABC received sealed his fate from that day on.
