In honor of Danoz...

I started #trekbbs on DALnet. That's where we should chat. Danoz hosted a server where I met my girlfriend. I owe him.

You guys should be there...

I can't remember what I had set up for running Danoz's chat - what do I need?

(small words and visual aids, please - I'm feeling particularly slow this morning...)

First download mirc from this site. Once installed, and the program is opened, "mIRC Options" should come up. Click on "Servers", and click on DALnet, press "Select". Choose a nickname.

Then hit the Lightning Bolt (it's the top left button), and once connected DALnet - write "#trekbbs" in the Favourites Box that comes when connected to DALnet (or any other chat server).

It's rather quiet at the moment.

If you don't want to pay for mIRC (I think it still costs money(?)), you can always get HydraIRC. I've been using it for years, and it's great.

I feel like I did my time with IRC well over 10 years ago. Kind of don't want to go back to it. In fact this name was my original IRC name.
