Bleak Sea is an in-development undersea monster film from Italian filmmaker Giacomo Cimini. A rather spectacular trailer for the film has been made, based on a concept

It's from the same director who did the excellent looking The City in the Sky and revolves around a submarine fighting the commies in 1965.

seems like Hunt For Red October meets 20,000 Leagues but with a HP Lovecraft twist.

the film will definitely be a full-length feature film with a plot that focuses around a giant monster — a monster that plays a big part in events.

The plot of this episode is based on the 1957 movie The Enemy Below, with the Enterprise taking the part of the American destroyer and the Bird-of-Prey with its cloaking device taking the part of the submarine.
