Immunity Syndrome redone with U.S.S. Intrepid.

Bones1864

I only saw part of the Immuinity Syndrome remastered. Who thinks it would be cool for a teaser to be put on right at the start of the episode which shows the Starship Intrepid with her Vulcan crew being devoured by the Space Amoeba. It could be edited in and the regular footage can be blended in...

The aim of the "remastering" isn't to add material, bur rather to replace stuff that couldn't be made to live up to "high def" expectations.

Hey...

They didn't even straighten out the onscreen printout of what Gary Mitchell was reading in "Where No Man Has Gone Before". (Bad 1960's film "magic"....the angle of the page didn't match the angle of the screen.)

Yeah, as cool as that might seem, it would really push the limits of "remastering" which some people seem to think have already been violated. I think it might hurt the story as well, since the whole point was for Spock to sense this phenomenon at great distance, adding to the dread of the scenario and the mystery of the Vulcan people.

I could easily see some fan production or some other artistic take on it, but as far as the original episode I think it's better left alone.
