IMAX run extended by popular demand!

Though STAR TREK's IMAX run was scheduled to end Wednesday, demand has been high enough that it's been extended. Late-evening IMAX screenings are still available in many markets.

IMAX is a great way to see the film and I hope to squeeze in one more IMAX viewing before it disappears...

Re: IMAX run entended by popular demand!

Fuck, don't all these people know that the characters are all Mary Sues and the movie sucks? What the hell is wrong with them?

Re: IMAX run entended by popular demand!

IMAX won't let me link to the list of still-Trekking theaters, but go to IMAX.com and click through and you'll find all the IMAX theaters where it's still playing.

You can also start by clicking the IMAX link at the bottom of the STARTREKMOVIE.com page.

I wanted to seeit here in hte PHX areain IMAX, but the only place it is showing is the AMC 30 theater (IMAX) and that is not a true IMAX theater, it is about half the size.

they did a great job on the conversion.
the scene were they drop out of warp at vulcan alone is worth it.

Sydney, Australia, supposedly has "the largest rectangular IMAX screen in the world", and I'm going on the weekend and taking a large group of friends with me. So I'm doing my bit for Viewing #4.

Our IMAX has a midnight showing tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night; but that's the end. Not a night-owl anyway.

We're going to have to see it on the smaller screen this weekend. It still has 10 showings a day (on two screens, I presume).

They got our $200 bucks at the IMAX already (2 people x 8 viewings x $12.50).

We only have one IMAX screen in town, and it's part of a museum. They've already committed to other films, so they can't extend ST's run. :(

Yesterday was the last day it's in IMAX in Austin.

The local IMAX theater in Raleigh, NC (Marbles Kid's Museum) has extended the run. They have an 11:59pm showing tonight and 11:15pm showing tomorrow. I don't know about other dates/times.

This is cool, because I promised to take my nephew (who has never seen IMAX) and he couldn't go last week. I was really afraid he would miss out, but now we are going at 11:59pm Sat. Woohoo!

That sounds like a nice time; have fun!

Awesome! Is he going to manage to stay awake for that long? :)
