I also think that the OP discounted Five too quickly. He could be rather fierce if he was motivated (usually when someone he cared for was in danger). Unlike Four he also remembered being Three and had his fighting skills.

He was pretty badass with a sword in The King's Demons.

Yes, Five wasn't afraid to mix it up a bit when he had to.

Thread reminds me of Sylvestor McCoy getting prank-called on some British TV or radio show by that guy who sounds like the Fourth Doctor (and 'plays' him in the crank call). McCoy's initial reaction was that Tom had been drinking: "Tom, have you been to the pub?"


I wonder what they'd drink. We've seen several incarnations of the Doctor have alcohol at times, most recently in Deep Breath of course.
