Imaginary Friend: Nebula FGC-47 Name

Kei Fox

Ensign
Red Shirt
At the start of Season 5, Episode 22, we observe LaForge, Data and Ensign Sutter discussing names for the FGC-47 nebula, including the "LaForge Nebula" and "Sutter's Cloud." Who else besides me thought that a more fitting name, at the conclusion of the episode, should've been something akin to the names of Clara Sutter and her imaginary friend Isabella (i.e. Clara-Isabella Nebula, Isabella-Clara Nebula, or even Isabella-Sutter Nebula)? Considering the impact the nebula had on Clara Sutter and the new lifeforms the Enterprise encountered in the image of Isabella.

Perhaps this could be a place to quote Data:
"Given the selections, I prefer NGC-47." ;)
That was only because LaForge and Sutter were a touch egotistical, but not having as much significance on the nebula. What prominence did they have involving the nebula, compared to what it did for Clara Sutter, having made her imaginary friend Isabella more "real", hence... :)

So, NGC-Clara it is. =)
