I'm watching the series from the beginning again...

First-season episodes of all the series have some howlers in them, as the characters are settling down. None moreso than Spock, IMO.

Tell me about it. First episode of TNG = hilarious

I was going to start my own thread about this same subject until I saw this one. I've been re-watching Voyager too. Most of these episodes I haven't seen since they first aired in the '90s.

So far I've gotten up to Blood Fever.

The experience is much better the second time around. There were a lot of things I'd forgotten: Neelix's initial jealousy of Tom, B'Elanna's integration into the crew, the gradual development of things I took for granted in the series, etc.

The second season, in particular, was better than I remembered. I liked how the failed attempt to get the Kazon sects and the Trabe to agree to peace completely fell apart. It showed the difference between the Alpha Quadrant and the Delta Quadrant. Cullah's stupidity when negotiating with Janeway was particularly amusing.

And, yeah, B'Elanna's hair looks awful in the first season but seems perfect in the second.

I have a greater appreciation for Chakotay and Kes as characters now too.

Also started to re-watch the first season after not seeing them for over 10 years. Some bad apples in season 1 for sure but some interesting ones as well.

Allot of the episodes are too self contained, for instance Neelix and Kes now only have one lung each yet that is all but forgotten after that episode with no ill effects there after (Neelix being short of breath, stuff like that)

I originally started this thread, and now i am up to the end of Season 4... just finished watching 'One'... was a great Seven episode...
Loving this season, it's a great one... Maybe I am one of those stupidly naive fans, but I do love all the characters... there is no one I dislike... sure, I have my favourites, but the main cast is just so strong...

This is my favorite season of the show due to episodes like "Death Wish", "Meld" and in particular "Resistance" where guest star Joel Gray steals the show.
