Thanks to some CSI: NY product placement -- that being a real-life musician playing a fictional musician whose music is of said real-life musician -- I discovered Alison Sudol and A Fine Frenzy.
She's a singer AND a pianist (which probably means she won't be shooting up the pop charts lip syncing and dancing to music-in-a-can), and apparently taught herself to play piano.
