I'm getting brain damage.

:guffaw:

This give me a long chuckle after you posted the thread! That's Disney for you, mate! (Shake head and laughing) Why did you ever watch that show where it has melting your brain?!
Seconded here. :guffaw:

True there... Disney, used to be a decent channel back when I was younger, but now it's just full of brain numbing junk...

Please tell me this canned laughter and not a live audience actualy entertained by this.

Sorry, it was filmed in front of a live studio audience.

And do these boys ever age? I think they've always looked like this,
Um, no, they've quite obviously aged throughout the run of their show and the spin-off. And the episode you saw was from 3 years ago, so of course they would look like they used to. ;)

Oh, and this episode has an offensive racial/national stereotype in it in the form of some Arabic Bellboy
Arabic? I always thought it was quite obvious Esteban was Hispanic (which he is). Specifically, he's from Peru.

who's either a girl or a -fairly convincing- crossdresser in the alternate reality this episode is set in.
Esteban's counterpart was indeed female, though played by the same actor.

And do all of these people, like, live in this hotel?
Not everyone. Only Zach and Cody, their mom, and London Tipton actually live in the hotel.

God, I want to die.

This show is so terrible.
Yeah, I can see why you'd feel that way. But as someone else here said, it wasn't made for you.

The mom is kind-of comely, though, but I liked her better with longer drak hair. Short spikey blonde hair doesn't suit her.
I agree, I don't really like the spiky hair. BTW, the actress who played her, Kim Rhodes, guest-starred in the Voyager episode "Ashes to Ashes" as former crew member Lyndsay Ballard.

And yes, I watch the show. Been watching since a little after "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" first premiered, and am currently watching "The Suite Life on Deck". And yes, on my own, and voluntarily. And my brain is just fine. ;)

This, the wizards show, Johnah bros and the big one, Hanna Montana, are on EVERYDAY...and yeah...they are not aimed at us, but can, on occaision, have a laugh or two from me...

But when my son takes over the TV?? We're talking BATMAN BRAVE/BOLD, FLAPJACK, Spongebob, JUSTICE LEAGUE (we have them all on DVD) and GREEN LANTER, PUBLIC ENEMIES..even Leave it to Beaver now...not to mention that yesterday we watched THE MUMMY on NETFLIX in HD...

he's cool..

Yeah I have to admit those Disney shows are utter tripe. But what floors me is that "older kids" still "enjoy" them. I dunno... I know a lot of the 80s shows like this that my generation grew up with were probably just as dumb but at the same time, I agree on the plot recycling. I never really "Watched" the show but when I was working at Target some of the younguns would have the TV on those in the breakroom and I swear they had the same basic plot.

Disney iz evil. Only Marvel can save it now.

Well some news reported that a marvel exec is taking the place of a disney exec...who knows maybe Marvel will just do an endround Disney and buy those suckas out... I can so see the Punisher "cleaning house" in the house of mouse. heh heh heh

mmmm..Marvel Super-squad, and kid-themed ideas, seem to be where Marvel will go, at least I predict. I am not as optimistic as you are..here is the next MARVEL / Disney movie..

A boy finds a magical wand and, zap, turns his Dog, Goofy, into a talking super-hero dog!!!! With music by the Jonas Brothers!!!! with special appearence by Hanna Montana!!! (look for the tiny clues during the movie for the next marvel/disney character....Spiderboy !!! coming soon!!)

Rated G for all!!!

Contrary to popular belief, Disney does not "Disneyfy" everything. They do own Touchstone and Mirimax, for example. Clerks series, Cold Mountian, Chicago, Gangs of New York, Dogma, Shakespeare in Love, all the Tarantino movies, on and on and on.

There are Disney products that make money and then there are money-making products, there's the Little Mermaid and Hanna Montana and there's Kill Bill Volume 2. I think Disney management knows the difference. They also have a good sense of when to stay hands-off, witnessed fully in the case of Pixar.

I think if future Marvel movies suck they'll suck with or without Disney involvement. I don't think they're going to make the next X-Men movie rated PG and put Goofy in it like some people seem to be scared to death they're going to do. They want to make money.

Well even a bad, suck ass, sour frog ass Marvel movie makes crap loads of money. Even Elektra made back its production costs. So hey... and honestly I liked Daredevil. I think its just Ben Affleck that got people hatin' it... and the black Kingpin. Now if they can go completely wild on a MIRAMAX branded flick... then holy crap they can have some interesting films. Put all the edgy stuff on Miramax and the mainstream Marvel on Touchstone... and the kiddy crap on Disney.

I watched Zach & Cody with the kids I used to nanny. It was aimed for their age group and I looked at it as such. So it doesn't have the wit and sex jokes of Golden Girls... it's not meant for me. Same with Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place. It's, as some of you pointed out, like Saved by the Bell (which I remember did have an episode with the Lambada...).
