I'm confused, what is Rory? (SPOILERS from previous weeks)

I never bloody understood 'bad wolf'. Rose left herself a message. AND???? Now THAT makes no sense. Just something that sounds cool.

More specifically, RTD didn't know what Bad Wolf was and decided Daleks were too mundane of an answer. So he went with a twist at the end.

I'm still puzzled how River got to where Amy and Rory had their wedding. She didn't use the Vortex Manipulator because the Doctor gave it back to her after he gave her back her diary. If the Universe Reset after Big Bang II, then she shouldn't have ended up there.

What's puzzling you about it? In the same episode, we saw the Doctor whizzing about through time, and altering the past so it matched the future. For example, after Amelia is already there at the museum, he discovers he needs to leave her a note so she'll go there to meet the guy standing in front of her.

Yeah sure, River doesn't have the VM *at that moment* but she gets it later, and could come back and drop off the book, which brings the Doctor back, which brings the VM back.

Timey wimey.

I can't believe this has never occurred to me.

Yes, but what's the twist? The twist that the Doctor dies to save Rose is brilliant. Rose saying, "I am the bad wolf" is poetic yet nonsense. What does that mean, you are the Bad Wolf? "I left myself the messages." Why? "To remind myself." Remind yourself of what? And why 'Bad Wolf' and not Angry Crab or Hesitant Orange?

I do get a bit of what he decided to do with it, but to me it is utterly arbitrary and somewhat nonsensical.

With Amy and the crack, the idea of memory was established throughout the series. The emphasis that Amy was at the center of things was too. So while the concept of memory, specifically Amy's memory having the power to bring back all that was lost including turning a Roman replica of Rory into the REAL thing or bring back the Doctor, might be a bit fantastical and overly sentimental, it has grounded and explicable premise.

Yeah, the cracks and the solution fit perfectly. The Bad Wolf I figured was some kind of warning and it would almost make sense for Rose to give that warning, but to what end. The phrase doesn't mean anything and doesn't help in any way.

Weird thing about it is how did Rose project all those Bad Wolfs in "Turn Left" (Apart from the spoken one, which was easy enough)? As far as we know she doesn't have any vortex powers left, although it's possible she foresaw the future in "Parting of the Ways" and put the words there to help her future self (As well as her past self).

Come to think about it, how much does Rose remember from that? After she recovers she seems to remember nothing, yet it's clear by Doomsday she remembers-or was told by the Doctor-some of it.

That's my assumption as well given that absorbing the time vortex allowed her to scatter the words Bad Wolf through out time and space. Also, we know now (for sure) that the TARDIS gets The Doctor where he needs to be. So I think Rose and the TARDIS aka Sexy were working together.

Rose scattered the words Bad Wolf (including those in Turn Left) through out time and space then the TARDIS made sure that Rose and The Doctor ended up in those places to see the words. Or maybe it was visa versa, depending on how you view time and space.
