https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_Dude There's a few reasons why I think this show has a certain charm even though it's 30 years old... There's no laugh track. Kind of unusual in the 80s. The cast are extremely likeable. There are no studio sets. They built a "real" ranch out in the desert like Luke Skywalker's farm. So even though it's cheap, there's still an authentic feel to it. It's sort of unique in children's sitcoms because it's mostly outside, on location, with horses and other animals. Oh, and most of the sets were still standing as of 2021. You can even look up the location on Google Maps.
I was addicted to this show when it first aired, in the late 80s early 90s. Ben Stiller is a lucky man (If he's still married to Christine Taylor). Also, that theme song rocked. I haven't watched it since the Nick days though but I remember the Capture the Flag episode.
