I'll be on holodeck 4

YARN

Fleet Captain
So what did Riker do after Famke Janssen laid that kiss on him in The Perfect Mate?

He used a holodeck for what they were exactly designed to be used for...

Not killing Skeletor with a bat'leth, not playing Sherlock Holmes, and certainly not Dixon Hill...

If you're really honest with yourself, you know what I'm talking about...

Thats like asking what Barclay does to Troi on the holodeck. Unspeakable things.

Not Troi. Troi's hologram.

Example: Worf did unspeakable things to K'Ehleyr on the holodeck which resulted in Alexander's conception.

Barclay never has done anything unspeakable... and I'll go with ever in this case.

Which is odd. You'd think Riker wouldn't need to go to the Holodeck to get some wank material/a virtual blow-up doll to get on with. Couldn't he pick up some civilian woman in 10-Forward or pick up some other chick on the ship to get his jollies?

It's sort of sad that he gets his fire stoked and the best thing he can do is go off to masturbate.

Although i hated Barclay, i did like how he brought up the possibility of "hologram abuse" if you will and the ethic involved in simulating a person who is still alive, it could even be called violation.

riker was clearly confused by her trill spots and was knocked out by a canon fairy.

I really don't see how it'd be a violation. At least, not any more of one that when someone masturbates to a picture or dresses a sexdoll up as someone. I mean disturbing, yes, and certainly not to make the person being copied fell to good but, "ethically" not too much different than any other form of masturbation.

I can't imagine he (Barclay) was the first.

And I always enjoyed how DS9 made it a little grittier, calling them "holosuites" and Quark made it clear that there were no limitations in the terms of use.

No worries. The holodeck is the swallowing type - it even removes corpses without having to be asked (see ST:INS).
