Bill Shatner. Because he's got the connections I need to get my books published, and to help me sell the screen rights for a nice 7 figures. :)

^. You're obviously not obsessed enough.

LOL! I have to admit, I was amazed you weren't the first person to post in this thread!

But overall...I have to admit, part of my reason for choosing a recurring actor as opposed to a series regular is that I think the conversation would be a little more likely to be down to Earth, which is what puts me off about the idea of some of the really major celebrities (though Bakula might be OK). And Mr. Alaimo's reputation suggests he might fit the bill as far as personable and down to Earth goes. :)

I think you'd like Connor as a dinner companion, then, because he is very down to Earth.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

Well, if I'm going for purely shallow reasons (which I'm sure some others are doing) then my choice is obviously Alexander Siddig
Then again, apart from just staring at him with a somewhat embarrassing look of awe on my face, I think I would be able to talk to him quite well (after calming down a little)
This. Alexander Siddig is hot. But if I chose someone I'd like to actually talk to, I'd say Wil Wheaton. He's a geek.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I've said Scott Bakula. In interviews all the other actors have mentioned what a gracious and friendly person he is, plus he's not just got his time on Enterprise to talk about. Rene Auberjonois, John Billingsley, Brent Spiner, Robert Picardo and Kate Mulgrew would also be pretty awesome, but alas I can only choose one.

For actual dinner dating though, Linda Park or Terry Farrell :p

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

Tough question.

For just general all around conversation over dinner, I'd have to go with Bakula, Mulgrew, McFadden, de Boer, Takei, Visitor, Spiner, or Frakes as I think any of them would make for a hell of a lot of fun

For an actual dinner date I'd have to go with either de Boer or McFadden.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

Robert Beltran, because is he charming, hot and funny .

Very good point and I couldn't agree more, especially about Marc Alaimo. He has been in numerous other tv shows as well. I think it would be interesting to hear his take on many of these other projects, as a guest star.

It is tough to decide but I would probably like to dine with Colm Meaney or Michael Dorn. Two of my favorite characters and it would be interesting to hear their take having been part of two complete series.

Patrick Stewart. Was there ever a sexier man created? I think not!

Did I mention I'd have his shirt off by the time the appetizers came? No? Well, I would.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

For women, McFadden, Sirtis, Visitor, Park, Blalock, and Dawson were all attractive women. I'd kill for a dinner date with them lol.

For men, Sir Patrick Stewart and Avery Brooks are my Trek heroes, so it would be an honour to have dinner with them. Michael Dorn would be good too. Worf is very stoic and staid, and Michael Dorn seems almost the exact opposite, so the contrast would be fun lol. Oh, and Robert Picardo seems like a fun guy also.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

John Billingsley has always struck me as an interesting guy, so I picked him--but it was tough. Robert Picardo and Rene Auberjonois strike me as very interesting as well. Levar Burton seems incredibly smart so I'm sure he'd have a lot to talk about, as does Avery Brooks.

Of course, if there's a guarantee of nookie at the end of the dinner date, the answer is Wil Wheaton.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

No option for Michelle Forbes? Boo. Not only was her character interesting, she has an equally interesting TV/Video Game career. I've just always liked the type of character she plays. Hardly anyone hates anything in the Trek universe which I guess is what Roddenberry envisioned, but c'mon! There's gotta be a few ensigns that got the short end of the stick or had a bad childhood. There you go, Ro Laren.

Plus she isn't bad to look at.

Well... I'd also choose Marc Alaimo, but I'm going to admit that one of the main reasons is because I have a major crush on him... even though he is old enough to be my dad, and I never had an idea that I could be so attracted to someone of the age he is now :adore:

I won't deny that he's good looking. :) But for me, "nice" is the defining factor--nothing ruins good looks quicker than being an IRL jerk (as opposed to playing a jerk on a show).

I wouldn't say it's a looks thing... it's never just about the looks, not for me... There is just... something about him. Some people just have it... others may be incredibly handsome, but they just leave me indifferent.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I chose Patrick Stewart just 'cause he's rad. If I could choose anyone though, it would certainly be Jeffrey Combs.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I always thought Lt. Uhura was So pretty when I was little and wanted to be like her when I grew up.

I also thought the same about Yeoman Rand! I could never understand how she got her hair to look like that -- at the time I was too young to understand the concept of wigs I guess!!
