Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

While Sisko is my favorite, I'd have to go with Patrick Stewart because of everything he has done in addition to Trek. I'm a bit of a theatre nut and I work in the industry so I'd love to talk Shakespeare with him.

Prada, Breezy, and Windy aren’t in the poll. Oversight? I hope they weren’t excluded for the same reason as Barrett, Doohan, and Kelley.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I was going to pick Barrett, Doohan, and Kelley. For tonight we dine in Elysium.

Nah, I'll just go with whichever one likes to pick up the check.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

Patrick Stewart (because.... well... he's Patrick Stewart, are any other reasons needed)

Nope.

Second choice would be Leonard Nimoy, both because I love the character he plays and because he's interested in photography and spirituality. I have to admit, he might be the more interesting conversationalist of the two.

But he's still my second choice. :)

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I'd say Leonard Nimoy, though William Shatner and Scott Bakula are close seconds (Bakula might even edge Shatner out slightly). I think they would both be very interesting and engaging to chat with, but Nimoy just slightly more so; he seems extremely philosophical.
And please don't take this as critical sarcasm, but I'd sincerely like to talk to him about the new movie and try to understand why he seemed to like it so much. If anybody could "convert" me, it would probably be him.

I'm just sad that he's sworn off conventions now. I'm sure that's as close as I'd ever get. At this point, Bakula's probably the only one left that I'd go to a convention to see (and I still need to get his autograph for Noel's collection).

Bakula would be a lot of fun to talk to as well. He's had a pretty lengthy, interesting career.

Leonard Nimoy, both because I love the character he plays and because he's interested in photography and spirituality.

Who here would want to pose for Nimoy? Who among us would he want to photograph?

One of his published collections is on the beauty of large women. The only other one that I know of has to do w/ spirituality. But I haven't looked at his website in a long time, so there may be more now.

“Large” is, shall we say, diplomatic, and inadequately descriptive. His subjects are those whom medical standards classify as severely or morbidly obese. Also, they are nude.

If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor and could pick who it is; who would it be?

Now, you only get to choose one... so choose carefully.
This could be either the moment of your dreams or moment you wish you could take back.
I did win a chance to have dinner with a Trek actor.
I went on a Seatrek cruise to Alaska in 2007 and because my roommates and I paid off our tickets right away, we were close enough to the top of the dinner assignments list to get our first choice for the last three nights of the cruise:

William Shatner. Why? Because he is William fucking Shatner, that's why!

Edited to ask... Is there a way to delete a post, or can we just edit?

Let's try that again... Thank you for adding the details. It's been so long since I looked at the pictures, I didn't remember more than the vague description I gave.

Hm...I realize he might not fit some people's definition of a "regular" actor, but I would choose Marc Alaimo. Not only is he a fantastic actor, but his reputation is of being a very nice person, very much unlike Dukat. He's also been a Shakespearian actor in his past, so while you can never know for sure unless you meet someone, or talk to someone who REALLY knows that person, my guess is he would be a very pleasant and intelligent person to talk to.

Yes, it was. Connor is an incredibly entertaining dinner companion.

Wow, and that just goes to show how much I suck at facial recognition. I absolutely didn't recognize him with that hairstyle!

^. You're obviously not obsessed enough.

Re: If you won a dinner date with any regular Trek actor, who would it

I would love to sit down with Nimoy or Stewart, but I have to say I think Jonathan Frakes would sit down and have a fun conversation with a fan for a long time.
