If You Could Share A Hug With Anyone From History...

Maybe it's someone you think could've benefitted from a hug, or someone you think deserves a hug for being who or what they were. Maybe it's just someone you'd think would be great to have a hug with. Whatever your motive for a good hug, who in history jumps to the front of the line for you to share a hug with?

I'm feeling like I'd have liked to hug Louis Armstrong. For me, He kind of ticks all the above boxes.

Robin Williams. He deserved a lot of hugs and he needed a lot of hugs, and he'd probably do a couple of very funny impressions while he was hugging.
It's a dirty rotten shame I was able to like this comment only once. I'm always reminded of the story about him getting calls from Steven Spielberg during the shooting of Schindler's List, where the cast would gather around the speaker phone, while he told jokes and cheered them all up after days of pretty horrific depictions. That man is the human embodiment of a hug
Does squeezing the life out of Adolf Hitler count as "hugging"?
Sorry. Only non-lethal hugs are permissible, given that what you describe is more akin to a strangulation.

However, as a counterproposal, history altering hugs are NOT off the table. So perhaps you could go back to when Hitler was a toddler & give him the hugs Herr Schicklgruber more than likely never gave him, & perhaps that's all it would take to alter the course of history

That sort of reminds me of the video game "Titanic: Adventure out of Time". The game allows you to take Hitler out of play for good... without harming him.

You don't hug him, though.

Alan Turing.

Basically invented the modern computer and used it to help us win the war, but much of his work was classified by the British government then reinvented after the war in America.

And then he was driven to suicide because he was gay which at that time meant his was prosecuted, convicted, and ultimately the victim of forced chemical castration.

I'd like to give him a hug and say while we don't have it all fixed, things for the LGBT+ community in the UK are much better now and his place in history is assured.

I am not a huge hugger, but I would hug President Lincoln if I had the chance.
My favorite President!
Just for the record my mom would totally hug President Kennedy!
