Garrett Wang
I am Asian American, and I really found Wang "pulling the racecard" all the time in blaming his career problems solely due to Hollywood racism than his inherent laziness got real old fast. If there is no work for you in Hollywood beyond playing a parking valet in a feature film (like "Iron Man"), then go submit your resume at careerbuilder.com and get a real job, instead of "has been work" such as convention appearances and collecting "Star Trek: Voyager" residuals. That is what former Power Rangers do by getting regular paying jobs in the real world after their gig is over. You have in your ability to do the same like everyone else.
It ain't just you, Wang. Hollywood loves to employ mostly white people, which has been Hollywood's policy since the very beginning. So there are mostly white roles written for white actors. That is the system you signed up for, yet you act like Hollywood has a vendetta against you personally as an individual when there simply isn't a niche for Asian American male actors in that industry.
In all honesty folks, Wang should have considered himself fortunate that he was cast as an Asian American "token minority character" on a UPN show considering his limited acting experience under his belt. Seriously, he was hired to fill a PC token Asian American male character slot, rather than any casting agent seeing him for his unique gifts or acting talents. He played a supporting character on a television show, and really should get out of his delusion that there is a movie career like Colin Farrell around the corner.
