If you could pick a vacation spot in Trek, where would you go?

Hmmm... just a handful of examples from the top of my 200ns/500Latency memory cells:

  • Baku is lame; once you leave all that magical healing goes away since none of the crew remained youngy and even Geordi had to get his implants back. It looks like their magic is confined to one little continent and the inhabitants are about as phony (thank you Mr Plinkett!), and incontinent if it weren't for the magic radiation holding back that pesky aging process a few decades..

Wouldn't it simply be the case they didn't stay long enough? I mean Anji is over 300 years old. I suppose that if she left, she would start aging again, but at a normal rate, not like crazy to 'catch up' with her true age (and thus end up dead in a few months).

Other than that, I agree that the inhabitants don't seem that great to me and I would have no reason to visit there except for the rejuvenation part.

....
That's what happens in James Hilton's "Lost Horizon" when someone leaves the valley of Shangri-La, but I think quicker than a few months.
