if you could get a ride on the space shuttle

Some of us are afraid of heights. I'd imagine this would be even worse in *space*.

The only reason I even suggested I might consider taking a ride on the shuttle is that (assuming it's like airplanes in this regard) I could avoid looking out the window. But then I suppose going on board at all would be pointless.
