Or Styles, assuming DADT is ended and he’s allowed to remain in the service.I'd suggest working for Esteban, but....I’d want to work under Harriman. I like being smarter than my boss. It’s easier to impress them that way.

Keep in mind that if you’re working under Sisko, Kira is second-in-command. If you can’t handle a smoke-coming-out-of-the-ears verbal thrashing, that’s probably not the place for you.I think I'd be way more afraid of pissing off Picard though, never seen Sisko tell someone off the same way Picard did to the Bajoran ensign in "Lower Decks".
We've seen plenty of Starfleet officers get away with insubordination or disobeying orders. And if shaving was an issue, Riker would've had to get rid of his beard and Sisko couldn't have his goatee. Just maintain a professional look.I don't know if I'd want to work with any of them. Remember this is basically a military lifestyle. If you don't shave or something you could be hauled off to the brig!
Kirk routinely expressed concern about his crew's welfare. Picard wouldn't even know your name (of course, he did have over one thousand people on his ship).I feel the same way about Sisko. About the only way to get on his bad side is to betray his trust, which is what Eddington did. He strikes me as otherwise the most reasonable of the captains. He also seems the most likely to care about your welfare.
We don't really have any idea of how intelligent Harriman was or was not. The man got forced into a crappy situation with a ship that wasn't fully outfitted. He tried to come up with solutions, but none of them were possible because he didn't have the necessary equipment.I’d want to work under Harriman. I like being smarter than my boss. It’s easier to impress them that way.
Just because he valued the input of his crew doesn't make him "useless." He did, after all, rise to the rank of captain and had previously been identified as an outstanding officer before commanding a starship of his own. Kirk received input on the go and made quick decisions, knowing the ultimate responsibility was his. Picard held full-fledged staff meetings.[...] though I'm a TOS fan there is no way that I would want to have Kirk as my boss because without Spock or Bones he 's quite useless.
Nope, but that's mainly because I couldn't work for a military organization. I have trust issues with authority and am far too fond of my own skin to obey orders that could get me killed.
