If the Captains were real life bosses, would work under them?

Fleet Captain
This seems an odd question, but if the Captains were managers in an organisation, would be content to work under them?

Imagine a team meeting with Picard:

"Sir, the Finance Dept. say they're controlling cash flow, so we may not have as much funds to lend us. I guess we could ask the Buying Centre to buy fewer goods for our project."
"Make it so."

I would work for any of them, really. They certainly earned their people's respect. But I wouldn't want to ever go into the field with Kirk.

Kirk and Sisko, the rest would be paralyzed by over analyzing the details.

I wouldn't have a problem working for any of them. Though I would be extra careful not to piss off Sisko. Michael Eddington found out the hard way what happens when you get on the wrong side of The Sisko.

I'd work for Picard, most certainly. Janeway is cool. I don't even know Sisko. Absolute no for Kirk. And Archer is too plain normal, but I suppose I wouldn't mind working for him either.

^Of course it did. ;) [oops, that was for Starfury, not Pianowizzy]

I would really like to work for Picard. Sisko or Archer would be okay, too. Janeway, I don't know enough about. Kirk, I'd prefer not to work for.

I don't know if I'd want to work with any of them. Remember this is basically a military lifestyle. If you don't shave or something you could be hauled off to the brig!

The only one I would trust as a boss would be Sisko. He's got his glaring errors, too, but when I look at his overall track record, he has fewer than the others.

I feel the same way about Sisko. About the only way to get on his bad side is to betray his trust, which is what Eddington did. He strikes me as otherwise the most reasonable of the captains. He also seems the most likely to care about your welfare.

I would work for any of them. Preferably for Picard, but any of the other Captains beat the hell out of my current boss.

It'd be funny re-imagining the shows like The Office (American version, because that's the one I know), with the captain as Michael Scott. For instance, instead of subjecting his employees to his improv comedy, Picard makes them listen to his "dramatic" readings of Shakespeare. And gives Wesley an "Entie" award for "hottest on the ship."

Meanwhile, Data is running a beet farm with his Cousin Barclay in one of the hydroponics bays, and Riker does that "turn to the camera and just look" thing every time Picard says something questionable.

And they already did the ENT version of this with "A Night in Sickbay."

I’d want to work under Harriman. I like being smarter than my boss. It’s easier to impress them that way.

janeway would push you down a lift shaft for poor performance, before leading an armed assault on the 3rd floor in a team building exercise.

I'd work either under Picard or Sisko. I think Archer would be easy to work for, but he seems sometimes to be too soft for command.

I would work happily under Picard and Janeway as they tend to care about their crews. Not sure about Sisko as comes across too emotional at times, and though I'm a TOS fan there is no way that I would want to have Kirk as my boss because without Spock or Bones he 's quite useless.

Nope, but that's mainly because I couldn't work for a military organization. I have trust issues with authority and am far too fond of my own skin to obey orders that could get me killed.
