I don't recall anything in "Those Old Scientists" about Pike's ultimate fate. Is there another absurd LD/SNW crossover (of course LD is absurd; that's inherent to its brand of humor, and part of its charm) that I haven't seen yet?

Remake, eh. Contextualize, yes. I'd like to see, for instance, how Una reacts to the accident. For that matter, Chapel and Uhura, since they served under Pike as well.
Kirk: Captain Pike's in a wheelchair now, but don't worry we took him to Talos IV and they'll take care of him there.

They should just skip forward and remake the Starfleet Academy comics where Omega Squad teams up with Pike and they fight Jem Hadar.

FWIW, I've had a hunch that there's going to be an unexpected swerve vis-a-vis the accident and Talos IV. Can we be sure that anything Kirk witnessed in "The Menagerie" is real?
