How will your home fare?
I have been looking at this site and discovered that at 10 meters half my seaside surburb will disappear but as I am on the hill side of the suburb my house will be safe.
My surburb is circled in red. The suburb I previously lived in is in blue.
The city center remains largely intact though the dock areas (orange arrow will be lost).
Many of the Eastern Shore suburbs that are south of my surburb will become islands (circled in yellow) and the airport (black arrow) will be totally flooded. It would be hard to relocate the airport as flat land will be scarce. It will probably have to be located at least another 20 km out of the city.
Using the website - will your home/town/city be under water? You don't have to provide maps unless you want to go to the bother.
On the whole Hobart wil fare reasonably well, especially on the Western Shore, with most residential and business areas still intact.
