Pike would have been a much different captain than Kirk.

I would have loved a Captain Pike series. I envision each time the Enterprise meets an alien race, Pike shouts at the viewscreen - "Is your blood red like ours? I'm gonna find out!"

Neither. I said that men (and women) going "Who does she think she is?" and hated her in the test screenings is not some far fetched impossibility.

Aha, I mis-interpreted your comments about Trek showing a woman giving men orders, then.

I agree it isn't beyond belief that some people may have had that reaction.
