If Any TOS Trek Movie Came Out in Theatres again...

Would you go watch it? I think I would. Which movie would you consider seeing and why?

I think i probably would see all of them... no matter if good or bad. When Star Trek is out and Captain Kirk is in it... well... it just gives you goosebumps :) I think it would be cool if at the end of one of them Nimoy & Shatner would give a personal interview of the film. Not long, but short enough to make the audience feel proud that they are what made Star Trek what it is today.

What do you think?

I'd probably check out any of them. I saw TWOK on the big screen a few years back. That was cool.

I'd see TVH in theaters if the timing was convenient. TUC, I'd rush out to see in theaters. That'd be fantastically cool. Don't really like any of the other TOS movie entries.

You mean now? Even as an atheist I'd go to church and say a novena to St. Jude not to let that happen. That would be like someone waiting until 2020 to do a Golden Girls reunion. Just enjoy what we already have.

I've never seen the first four films in a theatre so I'd definitely go and see them!

Yeah - the missus would drag me there, no doubt. She laughs at Trekkies for being a load of crackpots - yet it was she who dragged me to the cinema to see the latest offering...

I would pay to see anything Star Trek - old or new - in theaters, if for no more reason than to send a message to the producers that there is still a strong fan interest in the franchise.

To see that long Enterprise Flyby from TMP on an IMAX screen would be especially worth paying for in my books. :-)

Yeah, they were playing TUC in theaters on the day that XI was released. I had plans to see both (what a day that would have been) but the child was sick and had to be taken to the doctor.

I did get to the The Menagerie when it was released to theaters.

I'd probably go see them, sure. It sounds like a fun night out to me, and I only ever got to see the new one, VI and Generations in theaters.

If they improved the sound or quality or something like that on the film i would, otherwise probably not as i have the dvds and a great tv...

All of them. because it's fun to do Trek in the dark with a bunch of strange kids who are all young enough to be my offspring (my own may or may not be persuaded to join me - it wouldn't be the first time I've had to see a movie by myself . . . it puts a damper on the child's enthusiasm when I insist in pulling out the ol' Trek TOS dress! )

I'd definitely go see them all, again, on the big screen. That is where they were intended to be seen and, even the so so ones, are far more dramatic seen in the theater. I agree, there should be some tweaks to the visuals and sound, but it would be very cool.

I'd go see Star Trek V if they let Shatner come back and re-do the effects and finish the film as he envisioned it.

I pay money to see that in theater!

As for the others, I swore on Piotres grave that I would not see them in the theater again after sitting through a Butt Numb-A-Thon of all the films...

DVD at home is just fine with me...ever couple of years or so...

If you went, would you wear a pancake on your head?

I saw the TWOK-TSFS-TUV trilogy in a theatre last weekend, and it was pretty damn awesome. The prints weren't of the best quality, though (especially for TWOK, which was a bit faded), so it would be nice to see a remastered re-release of some of them.

TMP and TFF.

TMP is among my alltime worst moviegoing experiences (despite great vfx and music), but seeing those ship shots and the vger cloud passage again in ideal conditions would be worth driving a ways.

TFF's live-action cinematography looked great in the theater, and because of that and the big 3 and the score, it remains my best theatrical Trek memory (took me a couple viewings to realize TWOK was really good -- still bummed from TMP -- and TVH, though it had that whopper E-a reveal, was otherwise just fluff shot through smoke ... SFS and TUC were downright painful to watch in the theater, SFS for cheapness and failure to follow through on early promise, and TUC for ruining Kirk and Spock as plot conveniences.)

Cause I only got into Trek by the late 80's, basically the start of TNG, where I was only 8 or 9, I missed out on seeing the first 6 movies (although I'm not sure if I saw 6 or not) I love the chance to be able to catch them all on the big screen, to see them the way they were to be seen.
