If Alexander just wanted to contribute to the War Effort

WesleysDisciple

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
When I First saw Sons and Daughter I Wondered if Alexander just wanted to contribute to the war effort To avoid winding up in a Dominion Slave labor Camp.

is it safe to say that He'd have probaly been told by his father and Martok that he'd be better at... say some volunteer job on Rura Penthe they dont trust prisoners to do?
or working in a ship yard

any other ideas?

In sympathy with Worf, he didn't have much of a role model in the fathering department.

Or Mogh? How old was Worf when he was orphaned again?

Six, I think.

And @Bry_Sinclair, I see no evidence that Mogh was a bad father to Worf (and Kurn).

As for Alexander: I like the fact that he tries his best in the KDF. He may not be the best warrior there is, but he gets the job done. Just a regular guy. I can respect people like that. We can't all save the universe...

Alexander and Barclay should hang out together. Eat some nachos, drink some blood wine, and revisit Deadwood on the holodeck.

I never understood the direction of this plot line since TNG-Firstborn. I thought the point of that episode was that he didn't need to go down the path of a soldier and Worf would still be proud of him being a diplomat (or whatever he chose). Seemed odd that he decided to become a soldier when that wasn't his fate before.

I guess alternate future Alexander changed a lot more than he anticipated...
