IDW writer talks to Comic Book Resources

Yeah, I do see that.... I guess I just like it when the writers incorporate Hartnell's mannerisms and fluffs and so forth into the dialogue. It just feels more like they're bringing the on-screen character to life that way.

I read a lot of comics each week. A lot.

The IDW Doctor Who books are terrible. the Plot behind the Forgotten storyline is practically a pull on the worst episode of TNG ever: Shades of Gray. The writer and the artist don't seem to be enjoying the fact that they can make a billion billion dollar movie in the pages of any old comic book. Considering they're not hampered with continuity or casting and... I read that fan-comic which is making the rounds "the Ten Doctors" which blew me away and I have to wonder if IDW has any restrictions on what they're allowed to write about?

I thought it was pretty poor as well - if you are going to do a multiple doctor story - do it, don't give a number of issues of flashbacks.

I was looking forward to The Forgotten, but my excitement has been tempered somewhat. I found the tenth Doctor's dialogue painful to read in the first issue, and the fill-in artist on issue #3 is disappointing. My hope is that, in the final analysis, the flashbacks actually factor into the resolution of the story, rather than being simply an excuse for the tenth Doctor to remember untold tales of his earlier selves, and that the art doesn't suffer.

They're only newly forgotten memories since the bigbad had given him instiamnesia at the push of a button. Fortunately the doctor is in a museum dedicated to his life (IT'S A TRAP!) and he's using the relic/recreations there to jog the vacant space which used to be his mind.

Meh, and double meh.
