IDW revisiting Mirror Universe

The Wormhole

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
IDW is doing a miniseries with the first issue being made available for Free Comic Book Day (first Saturday in May) which will be an MU take on TNG:

From the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be consistent with any other depictions of the MU in the 24th century, not even the on-screen material from DS9. I guess this is another universe among many in the multiverse where humanity is evil and forms the Terran Empire instead of the Federation.

Speaking of IDW and the MU, were their previous MU comics in continuity with the novelverse MU series?

Maybe the miniseries happens to be consistent with the mirror universe from Q & A. In any case, great news!

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I've been pretty happy with most of the Tiptons' stuff I've read, and I love the Mirror Universe.

Yeah, it looks like this is a totally new thing, and not even aligned with the Tiptons' own previous Mirror Images #3 fill-in story depicting the young, Mirror Tom Hardy Picard™ during the early years of the 24th Century (which itself contradicted David Mack's The Sorrows of Empire, in terms of the timeline and the Terran Empire's eventual fall).

Also, you gotta love Mirror Picard's thick white Van Dyke, sleeveless uniform and wristbands. Looks like he's ready for a hot night out at The Manhole. :D

Hive also featured Data as a Borg, but I haven't read it yet, so I don't know how that came about there.

*ahem*
DATA: The Borg assimilated the Daystrom Institute. Locutus knew my positronic matrix was inside the B4 prototype so he was able to retrieve... Well, my brain.

D'oh, I haven't gone to a FCBD in years... as they have become more and more mainstream, the lines have gotten almost as long as the lines at Canada's Wonderland... and I hate waiting in lines!

I assume this prequel will be included in the eventual TP reprint, though?

Maybe it's the one Fleet Captain Sisko was from in Fearful Symmetry! :)

Since it's part of the miniseries they should. If you don't want to deal with long lines there's always the digital version.
