IDW doing DS9!

Sounds good. I never really thought they would set the first comic in the early seasons (so no Worf yet) but it is a great idea to get new fans into DS9.

I have enjoyed IDW's contribution to Trek to this point. I am pleased (and a little surprised) that they have managed to garner a sufficient enough audience to keep production moving along. Perhaps it is because they are not stuck in one form and have moved all over the Trek universe. I am looking forward to seeing what they will do with DS9. Where and when the story takes place is of no importance as long as the tale and graphics are good.

Well, WildStorm, Marvel/Paramount and DC Comics "moved all over the Trek universe", too.

IDW seems to have cornered their ST niche well, although they don't get a lot of "face out" display space in most comic shops I visit. The Marvel and DC shelves still tend to overshadow the smaller companies' output. It must be very frustrating putting out six issues of a comic and wondering if the main readership is still holding onto their $$$ until the trade paperback collection comes out.

Having all IDW ST titles put away on a standing order is highly recommended, because casual browsers certainly don't get a lot of choice with what's left.

Absolutely, that's exactly what I do. It saves a lot of headaches knowing I don't have to worry about missing an issue.
