Ideas that get stuck in your head?

As we have had 45 years of Trek, and there is a lot of material floating around there that can mash together in someone's mind, have you ever subconsiously mashed episodes together or for some reason remembered a story from a different franchise as a Trek story? Or have you ever sworn that you once saw an episode that nobody else remembers?

I remember once having this crazy idea that there was once a TNG special with a gold-plated Galaxy Class starship, and I couldn't figure out where I had seen it. Turns out, it was in a stupid dream, and the idea for the gold-plated ship came from the ships in the ready room.

Honestly, no. I guess my memory for Trek in particular is sharp because I do have mushed up ideas about other shows. Before I saw B5 (on DVD), I was sure that Ivanova dies, and that B5 gets blown up in the end (well, it does, but I thought it was more an alien-attack kind of thing).

Those gold plated ships were not in the ready room. They were in the observation lounge. One of the post novels made the same mistake. I think it was Rogue.

Yes, but they're more like Star Trek/ Stargate mashup/crossovers.

Like Pine's Kirk ordering the Enterprise into the wormhole that swallowed the Narada and coming out through a supergate in the SG-1 universe.

Picard did have a gold-plated model of the Enterprise E in his ready room in Nemesis.
