Idea for a Star Trek sitcom: a drunk Romulan and her Vulcan friend.

I didn’t know where to post this, so I’m posting it here for now, basically it’s set sometime in the 25th century and it follows an alcoholic Romulan named Tarak who lives on a small federation colony with a Vulcan named Sebek near the former neutral zone. Sebek is a historian who works as a teacher at the local school and he’s currently working on a theory that suggests Genghis Khan may actually be half Klingon. Tarak is a former Romulan military officer who almost always smells like Romulan ale even when she’s sober, her alcoholism is mostly due to a mix of PTSD, depression and the destruction of Romulus, she also has some questionable political views that spring up whenever she’s drunk. Sebek is always concerned about his friend’s mental and physical health and he will sometimes try to get her off the booze only for her relapse the next week. It’s kinda like a dark comedy.

I'd watch it once, for the concept. Whether I'd keep watching it would depend pretty much entirely on writing and actors. Which is probably true for a lot of shows, really.

Edit: Who am I kidding? It's Trek. I'd probably watch a Neelix cooking show religiously.
