Ice” is being planned as a four-hour miniseries that will be airing in the UK. I’m guessing it’ll then land on DVD
in the States and elsewhere, probably as a trimmed down version.

Storyline
It is 2020. Findings by environmental scientist Professor Thom Archer suggest that Halo, the corporate energy company drilling on the Greenland Glacier are causing it to melt. Archer's warnings are ignored, so he heads to the Arctic to find indisputable evidence. Upon arrival, he realizes humankind is under immediate threat, and races home to save his family. The glacier collapses, with devastating consequences. Astonishing weather patterns emerge and plunge the world's temperatures into steep decline.

Lol. This is the typical made-for-TV disaster movie. It's not enough that a natural disaster occurs, it has to be a coorporation so that there can be a villain. Always the same. Sometimes they go even so far that the disaster is just a background plot an it's about a cop (preferrably played by Luke perry) who needs to hunt down a serial killer who has taken his daughter hostage or some other shit.
And the visual effects are going to be horrible.
