I Watch Too Much TV

Starbreaker

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
This Season I am Watching:

Hour Long:

Chuck
Criminal Minds
CSI

Dexter (Season Ended)

Half hour:
Scrubs (January)
Family Guy
How I Met Your Mother
The Big Bang Theory
Worst Week
The Soup
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season Ended)
Weeds (Season Ended)

This is a lot of TV. I'm actually a little ashamed. Where do people find the time to watch TV and carry on a normal life?

My viewing's been relatively sparse this year but that's because all the good stuff comes back in January.

Stuff I'm watching this year:

Boston Legal (over :()
House
Fringe
Pushing Daisies (over soon)
30 Rock
Scrubs (January)
Lost (January)
Battlestar Galactica (January)

Since all the shows I watch get canceled on a dime (Journeyman, Moonlight, My Own Worst Enemy, Eli Stone), I guess I don't watch nearly as much TV as I could. Plus if I ever think I watch too much, I can just look at my ex-roommates who vegged out for endless hours watching TV.

I watch far too much TV as well.

Starting January, I'll be watching

LOST
Burn Notice
Heroes
Chuck
House
Fringe
How I Met Your Mother
Reaper (when it comes back)
Sarah Conner Chronicles
Robot Chicken
Battlestar Galactica
Sanctuary (but only because hubby likes it)

...and I'll definitely watch Dexter when it returns!

Let's see :

Californication
Terminator The Sarah Connor chronicles
Heroes
Prison Break
House M.D
Fringe
IT Crowd
Lost (2009)
Battlestar Galactica (2009)
24 (2009)
Stargate Atlantis (over soon)
Smallville
Doctor Who (whenever the specials or next series comes)
Knight Rider

I think that's about it .
I see none of those on TV though.
I watch them on my pc sometime soon after they air and whenever i have the time.

Here's my list

How I Met Your Mother
The Big Bang Theory
Two and a Half Men
30 Rock
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
Little Mosque on the Prairie
Scrubs
Terminator: TSCC
Prison Break
Chuck
Pushing Daises
Gossip Girl
Samantha Who
Lost
Battlestar Galactica
Heroes
Reaper
Desperate Housewives
Dollhouse (Will be watching)
Boston Legal (Ended)

You see, I don't have a normal life and I'm happy about it ;)

I watch far too much TV but some people read, I like TV but I find nothing wrong with that. I enjoy sitting down at night to enjoy a few hours before bed.

I enjoyed this lineup from the fall...

MONDAY
The Big Bang Theory
Heroes
Boston Legal
Spooks (UK)

TUESDAY
House

WEDNESDAY
Knight Rider
Bones
South Park

THURSDAY
Life on Mars

FRIDAY...

Have I Got News For You (UK)

SATURDAY
Match of The Day (UK)

SUNDAY
Family Guy
Dexter
Californication
Sunday Supplement (UK)

And I started to watch more of American Dad but not decided if am going to make it a weekly viewing. Also when am caught up CSI will be added to thursday nights (on season 4 so far).

Shows to come in Jan-May 2009

24
Kyle XY
Scrubs
Lost
Nip/Tuck
Dollhouse
BSG
Doctor Who (UK)
QI (UK)
Torchwood (UK)
Ashes to Ashes (UK)

Next summer I might decide to watch FRINGE season 1 and Reaper season 1 & 2.

Tape or DVR everything you watch and zap the ads. That helps compress the time wonderfully.

I'm watching

Chuck
Heroes
Pushing Daisies
30 Rock
Stargate: Atlanti
s (for as long as it lasts)

Adding this winter
Lost
Damages
BSG
Harper's Island
(tryout)
Boldly Going Nowhere (tryout)

Heroes
Stargate: Atlantis (canceled)
Battlestar Galactica (canceled)
Lost (going in a couple of years)
Smallville (probably canceled soon)
Mythbusters
WWE Raw
WWE Smackdown
ECW
TNA Impact!
Top Gear (only on for about 12 episodes a year)

I'll add Stargate: Universe, Caprica and maybe Dollhouse to that but then that's it for me and TV unless they put a new Star Trek show on. TV gets more boring, predictable and uninspired every year.

Every week without fail I watch:

Dexter (well it just finished)
Terminator
House

I've got this season of Boston Legal lined up to watch when I get bored, and I really ought to see Heroes at some point, although people aren't making me enthusiastic about this season.

I'm a couple of weeks behind on Sanctuary and four or five on Legend of the Seeker (dunno if I'll keep bothering with that)

Soon BSG will start up again, which will be awesome.

On proper telly with, you know, timeslots and things, rather than my computer, I watch

Top Gear
Spooks
Survivors
Never Mind The Buzzcocks
Have I Got News For You
Live At The Apollo

Let's see, not including DVD sets (like Dexter) or live sport:

Sarah Connor
Heroes
Fringe
LOST
BSG
30 Rock
The Friday Football Show
(and picking up) Doll House

thanks to the dvr, I watch alot too. Im a regular viewer of:

ER
Fringe
Smallville
Lost
Heroes
Terminator
SNL
BSG
Life on Mars
The Office
ESPN/sports programming
Clone Wars cartoon

I'm actually watching less TV this season than in years past:

Fall/Current:
Brothers & Sisters
Family Guy
Grey's Anatomy
Heroes
Pushing Daisies
Ugly Betty

Mid-Season:
Battlestar Galactica
Dollhouse
Friday Night Lights
Lost

When I was younger I was known for my interest in tv. If someone wanted to know something about a tv show, they would come to me. This was years before the internet. I even had a vast TV Guide collection. However, a little over two years ago I had a moment of clarity. I realized that my wife and I were sitting in the same room, ignoring each other, while living vicariously through make-believe people. It didn't seem healthy. So I talked to her about it and we decided to turn off the satellite service that we had. It made quite a difference in our lives. We spend more time talking to each other, our relationship is much healthier, we read more, we do more things together, and we're more active. I'm not putting down television though. It can be very entertaining as well as informative. We still watch dvd sets of shows like BSG and The Wire, we try to catch any documentaries that might interest us, and we still turn the tv on to Fox Sunday nights to watch our favorite animated shows. But not having ready access to television programming makes us far more selective of what we watch and how much time we spend watching other people live as opposed to having our own life experiences.

Skins (season one and two on BBCAmerica) I can't say enough good things about this show. Hopefully the won't try and recreate it here in the US like I heard.
Dr. Martin (until they took it off PBS)
Top gear
Trueblood (because of my wife and it reminds me of where I grew up)
Dr. Who
Torchwood

Rewatching on DVD
STNG
The original version of the office
Dead Like Me

Let's see...

Battlestar Galactica
24

Boston Legal (DVD)
Californication (DVD)
Dexter (DVD)
The Wire (DVD)*

*Recently completed

I think that's it. I'll probably get back into Stargate Atlantis when the final season comes out, since I've invested this much into it, but I'm not expecting much. I'm keeping an eye out for new Cable shows, though, since Network has been pretty disappointing lately.

I'm watching too little TV :(

hehe..

Currently I'm only following Life and the Sarah Connor Chronicles actively.. Mybe the odd sitcom here and there, but I hardly sit down and watch TV anymore..

I'm mostly just watching shows on DVD now a days, but here's the the new shows that I watch on tv:

Battlestar Galactica
Desperate Housewives

The Shield (ended)
Dexter(ended)
Battlestar Galactica (returns in January)
Big Love (returns in 2009)
Heroes (in an MST3K kind of way)
Supernatural
Mad Men (returns summer 2009)
House

Actually, I'm not watching much currently.
