I was approached by a TV news crew

In High School my two friends and I who were on a robotics team at a Skills Canada competition were interviewed by the local station for the noon news.

Once I was standing in line at a candy shop on Valentine's Day and a local TV news photographer came up and pointed a camera at me and said "You want to be on TV? I guess you procrastinated and left it to the last minute, huh?" I was kind of pissed that he had asked his question before I said whether I wanted to be on TV, so I probably didn't look too happy when I answered: "Not at all. I am here to buy candy made with fresh berries. They're no good if you don't eat them the same day." He said "OK thanks" and quickly moved on; of course it never showed up on air.

All the time, probably once every couple of weeks, except during the summer when it's at least once a week if not more.

But then again, I'm an information officer for a government agency, so it's my job. I love it and I've built up a good enough reputation with the local and national media that I can pretty well tell the story I need to tell.
