I Want To Be A Crazy Cat Lady

Don't crazy cat ladies tend to be single?

You just gotta find the right man. Mr Teacake had no opinion of cats when he met me, now he is a crazy cat dude. He would happily have tons more cats.

Or maybe crazy cat ladies were once happily married, but their husbands had enough of the cats.
Or she feed him to the cats. :shifty:

I have decided that one needs a minimum of six cats to even have a light chance of qualifying for Crazy Cat Lady status, so I am only half there.
Our sixth cat passed a few years ago. :(

Or maybe the crazy cat lady married a crazy cat man; my wife would tell you that that's what she did. ;) I've been quoted as saying "Awww, she'll make a fine addition to our family."

^When you're married, you're the "sweet, animal-loving couple who live down the street." When you're single, you're "the crazy cat lady at the end of the block."

I miss my cat, I gave her to my mom about a year ago to keep her company. I would love to get another cat.
My boyfriend wants to get an Egyptian Mau, which are very cool cats, but I think we should get a cat from a shelter. It won't be for awhile anyway. We have enough going on with our dog, and the baby coming in a little over 2 months. But I can so see myself as a crazy cat lady. :)
So many cats get euthanized every day; I don't understand why people don't fix their cats (and dogs) It's so sad.

I'm still bitter that we didn't get an orange Tabby like I wanted for our second cat, so every once in a while I'm tempted to get one. Plus, I want another kitten.

So, I guess that would make me one sex change and three cats away from crazy cat lady status judging by the answers in this thread. I've got the crazy thing down.

The bright side is, all you need are the cats.

:p

Oh hush you.

I always wanted an orange tabby too! My husband doesn't like them for some reason. And yes, I know that there a lot of adult cats that need to be adopted but kittens are just too cute.

If we ever get a house again I'm totally getting more cats. And maybe a dog. And then we might have kids .... hmm, this is getting a little out of hand.

When my cats die I'm going to the RSPCA and getting a pair of cats that have been donated together. Happy to take middle aged ones or whatever. I don't particularly care what they look like, the family joke is we will never have anything but tabbies.

I had a black cat when I was a kid for about 12 years. Loved that cat. My current one's an adorable gray thing but there's something about black cats I like.

I have always had a black cat in my home since 1991, the wife and I currently have 2 black cats and a very fat(er, I mean fluffy) grey tabby.

Cat roll call:

1) Manx tabby, Bob

2) Grey Tabby, Tigger

3) Bi colored tabby ( white with grey patches), Pippin

4) Dilute tabby, Midge

5) Orange tabby, Marmalade

Yeah, I'm glad we got our current cat as a kitten because I had never had a cat before and I think having him as a kitten helped me become comfortable and bond with him. If we adopt another cat I'm fine taking an older cat. And I like orange tabbies but looks don't really matter. A black cat would be fine.

I still totally want that one that comes to visit on our patio.
