I think I need Ghostbusters: Possessed Cellphone

Since about noon we've had a call coming in every 5 to 10 minutes like clockwork. The person on the other end always had a TV going and you coudn't make out the other sounds.

Well I just looked down at my cellphone-- which was off and on charge-- and surprise it was calling the house line. thought "no way", turned it off again, set a timer, and sure enough 10 minutes later it powered on, tried to connect to a bluetooth, then tried to call the house.

No effing clue as to what was behind this one. I think the phone (3 years old) finally gave up the ghost.

Re: I think I need Ghostbusterds: Possessed Cellphone

I think the planned obsolescence chip kicked in to force you to buy a new phone. ;)

I think the same ghost was living in my DVD player before jumping to your cellphone. The player kept turning on and off at random with no DVD in the tray and nothing set to activate it at a certain time or anything (and we weren't pushing buttons on the universal or other remotes at the time). Then all of a sudden it just stopped after a few hours.

Probably some electronic interference from an outside source or something.

An obvious question, but one that needs answering: now there's something strange in your mobile phone, who you gonna call? (and how?) :)

(sorry)

But seriously, it does sound like a phone problem. Me, I often change my phone every 2 to 3 years. If your current situation means you can't get it repaired, then maybe you could try a new phone, especially if the peripherals work with someone else's set-up.

I could get it fixed, but the contract's out in 2 months and I'm dropping the line in favor of a prepaid phone.

Looks the best idea, but then maybe your mobile knows what you are up to and is making you pay for your heartless decision:devil:.

It's always the small things that make me laugh

I tend to have the opposite problem. Before I threw out my last phone it would sometimes start calling people when it felt like it. I'd be typing away, the phone on the other side of the desk, and I could hear someone shouting at me.
