I switched to Bing

I still use Google to search, but I like Bing's maps much better. They seem to have better quality and higher res pictures, plus there's that Bird's Eye feature that can show you (in some places) an angled view of the landscape, instead of just the top-down satellite view.

I've been using Bing since about this time last year.

I've never really needed to search for something so in-depth that either Google o Bing has disappointed... I just like the purty pictures.

I find it humorous that people's biggest criticism about Google is how 'evil' they could maybe one day be due to all the information they have access to. So to battle against that evil threat of an imaginary future... they cling to Microsoft's search engine.

Hilarity ensues.

That maybe the reason some people switch but not mine. I also still use google, but to a much lower extent. I was actually trying to speak well of Microsoft, not disparaging Google in anyway.

Agreed. I use Bing and Google. I started using Bing because of a Google issue I had, found I liked Bing, and now use it quite often as a corollary with Google. If Google quit working tomorrow, I'd be fine using Bing.

I really do wonder what the heck people have searched for that makes them so paranoid about it. You could post my entire search history in public and I wouldn't be bothered at all. 98% of it is boring. Technology items, news, movies, whatever. 1.9% is the same things everyone else Googles but acts like they don't. 0.1% are things that really are just shameful, evidenced by the fact that I didn't search for them again. But you will when you see it, and you too won't search for it again.

I can proudly say, due to forewarning, I never saw 2 girls 1 cup (how many of you would see that in your own search history?), but given its wide recognition in popular culture, everyone needs to get off the high horse and stop acting like their cup contents don't stink. You use Google for that, your neighbor, priest and high school guidance counselor and the President of the United States does too. Nobody really cares, they just don't want proof of their perversion without proof of yours in return, lest they not be able to look down upon you.

Mainly I just Google because of name recognition. I think 'web search' I think Google. Heck it took awhile before I coul deven remember what MS's search engine was called.
And as some of you have said. Google works. So why use anything else? Pretty much the same reply when someone tells me I should switch to Linux or a Mac.
