I - Surak - request the help of the ENT Style Council

I am Surak

Captain
Captain
I - SURAK - request of you, honored members of the Style Council, ideas for high end Vulcan clothing, befitting my stature in Vulcan culture.

I prefer earth tones and functionality.

Think of my human as average build, average height and go from there.

Any submissions are welcome - especially original designs.

Live long and prosper!

SURAK

Dude (I assume it's dude), not sure what you're after here?! Are you after patterns/retailers? Or is this a comedy thread? Me confused!

I like this thread! It's exciting!

It was nice of Mach5 to send his picture but I do not swing that way. I am afraid he will be alone for a long time.
Not even sucking up by calling my thread exciting will change that. Poor guy - I feel for him.
This thread is about finding or designing Vulcan clothing.

I guess these would be a start.

TOS.

ENT.

I think this was unnecessarily rude. Especially considering the way you worded your request.

My guess is that most fans design and construct their costumes themselves. I've made a Vulcan jacket based on Spock's Vulcan funeral robe from STIII, and an Ilia-style white tunic from ST:TMP, by redesigning conventional patterns and adding my own embroidery.

Your best bet would be to find someone who can sew, who could take an existing dressmaker's pattern and customize it. Or go to a convention and strike up a conversation with someone who's wearing a great-looking Vulcan outfit, and find out where they got theirs. :)

my two cents worth is that i wish more people would consider vulcan fashion as seen in tos. the whole vulcans dress in robes thing comes from the movies.

and now it has become a cliche,.

Thank You HopefulRomantic for your suggestions. The plan is to look elegant at the next convention or while buying fresh Plomeek at the farmer's market.
And do not worry - professional sewing help will be employed.
My inner seamstress has two left hands....

Star - Surak thanks you for your valiant effort to help him in his quest for elegance.

This is a fine looking outfit. It actually looks a little like my host's racing fire suit.

I find Commander Tucker's attire most agreeable.

I said it before. I am so gay for Soval. The metal appliques on his robe are fabulous.

Probably the best outfit for a Vulcan about town. I find this most agreeable as it can be worn to many an occasion. The shoulder design is especially appealing.

There is a little fabric store in Hollywood that never let my human host down in the past. I look forward to indulging my desires there.
I will keep you posted on this thread about my endeavors.

I - Surak - accept the kal-if-fee but my human host is unfortunately of different opinion.
There fore I begrudgingly declare you the winner of this challenge and will abstain from all future references of homo-erotic admirations for Ambassador Soval.
