Friend is all set he's getting state help now (well the forms are in!) and his immediate needs are taken care of. I help people who help themselves. Someone did the same thing for me when I had problems awhile back.
Taking that first step twords getting help is often the hardest, in this case it's pride. I sold it to him as you can be proud that you admitted you needed help.
