Well after six years I am still creating new things for the Titan.
Since there is a 1:2500 scale in the early stages of development from Odyssey Slipways.
And there is a new 3d build on scifi meshes. I have started sketching up shuttle bay designs,
shuttle ideas, and the Captain's Yacht/Skiff since they both want me to develop the skiff so they can build it.
OdysseySlipways is planning on doing a shuttle bay with shuttles possibly so I have my sketchbook out and starting up again
Here is my first set of sketches for possible shuttles.

You have to love it. I was informed today by a fan on deviantart that there are a few of my starship designs being sold on ebay as wood models by companies out of Manila, Philippines. I did not give the right or permission to use the designs and they are asking over $200 per design. So far I have found the Concept of the Aventine, the I.S.S. Ares, and Imperial One. I really am pissed. If they would of contacted maybe we could of worked something out. From the looks of it they are making the models out of wood then pasting my Illustrator schematics right on to them as decals.

I know that non of you really care, but I just found the Icarus, I.S.S. Kelvin, and Badger on there as well (These aren't even medel shots, but my actual artwork.

I found many more of my designs this evening as well as a link to a Titan model.

I have forwarded it to John VanCitters at CBS to see if CBS might step in. I haven't heard from him in over a year, but I thought what the hell CBS should now this is going on.

I wish you luck, but I think you'll be running into a wall with eBay. A few years ago, I spearheaded a similar action against some guy on eBay who was selling Battlestar-related schematics off my website on T-shirts, including a couple of my own personal designs. "RedSoxFan" was his alias, or something like that. Anyway, even after getting signatures from the other artists he ripped off, because none of us owned the rights to Battlestar Galactica, it was ultimately incumbent upon Universal to make the claim, as they own the intellectual property rights to BSG, not us, who merely made non-official designs based on their universe. No recourse.

Now, since you did the Titan, you might have a stronger legal basis than we did, as Paramount has recognized your work as a part of their I.P., albeit not quite "official" (on-screen), you have official contracts with their agents, with the books & all, and they have more of a vested interest in protecting your work than Universal did with us. So you might have a shot. I'm still thinking that eBay won't listen to you unless you whip out a Paramount lawyer on them. Good luck - I am particularly interested in how this pans out - please keep us informed.

I'm not sure how much legal ground you've got there. The model is wood, so it's hand sculpted and painted, making it their original artwork of your design.

Whereas the guys that 137th Gebirg was talking about, were selling his artwork.

Well the company that has listed my designs has contacted me with an offer for the use of my designs. I am currently thinking it over and may send a counter to see what they say. I am trying to decide what I want to do, but they have contacted me.

Hopefully they are told to stop. I sure wouldn't want my own artwork or designs I came up with my own thought sold like that. They are breaking the copyright rules too, aren't they?

Yes they are. It's nice that they're willing to cut a deal but at the end of the day, if Paramount doesn't get their vig, they could go after everyone. Be careful with this one Sean.

but tell them that before you can agree, you'd need to see an example of the quality of their version of your work.
