It appears that the closer the day draws nigh, the more people feel the need to start a new thread about yet another movie review, some schlub's reaction to the movie, or what that person plans on eating for breakfast before heading to the theater.

With that in mind, I just thought it appropriate to announce on this forum that I have posted in a couple of threads where the main topic is the Trek XI movie.

How about you?

Hi it's spelled near by the way

LOL I'm just kidding with you...I know that is annoying -- isn't it?!
Anyhoo thanks for starting this thread about others starting threads about inconsequential stuff...I know I've been guilty of this .... and now you are too !!! LOL LOL....

Hi it's spelled near by the way ....

Um, not unless the word "near" was meant.

Obviously the word used was the word that's pronounced like "pie", only with an "N" in place of the "P".

That having been said, I guess I also have posted in this forum, AND EVEN IN THIS THREAD!

Now there's much cause for merry-making and cavorting.

What DOES covorting mean, anyway?

I just got approval to take our development dept for a two hour lunch on Friday - so we're all going to see Trek XI together.

The last movie I saw in the theater was Nemesis. And it was with co-workers also. But I'm expecting a better outcome this time.

There is no new Star Trek movie coming out.

The Abrams Abomination is NOT Star Trek and never will be.
I for one will not include it in my personal canon and will never give them any of my money :angryrazz:

May William Shatner's curse fall upon anyone who sees it.

This is the one I meant, but your "pie" reference was quite correct.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nigh

–adverb 1. near in space, time, or relation: The time draws nigh.
2. nearly; almost; (often fol. by on or onto): nigh onto twenty years.
–adjective
3. near; approaching: Evening is nigh.
4. short or direct: to take the nighest route.
5. (of an animal or vehicle) being on the left side: to be astride the nigh horse.
6. Archaic. parsimonious; stingy.
–preposition
7. near.
–verb (used without object), verb (used with object)
8. Archaic. to approach.

I quite enjoy having a vocabulary that consists of more than 10 words

I started a thread a thread in the Trek IX forum because...

I actually saw the movie! Twice now... ;)

It was a joke and you know that it was .........and why....but go ahead and cut and paste to your hearts content!
Anyway I think this thread about nothing is a real success...you should be proud as you are the author...congrats and I'm glad to have participated! :techman:

Definition of "cavorting", just for you.

Congratulations to all of you for having made your inconsequential posts about having posted inconsequential posts in inconsequential threads started by others. This inconsequential thread is closed, and we now return you to your regularly-scheduled discussions of topics related to the movie.

M', inconsequentially speaking
