I need to quit my job

My problem today was that I didn't try anything on. I didn't even realize that I hadn't tried anything on until I got back in my car. I just tried it on a few minutes ago at home and realized it looked awful.

Now I'm glaring at my closet trying to convince myself that my green pants will work with my lavender shirt. I feel like they should...somehow. :shifty:

I think you need some practice in buying clothes. One does not buy things without trying them, unless they are insanely cheap, which normally isn't the case with the clothes you got.

I don't need practice. I had every intention of trying things on, as I always do when I buy clothes. I have no idea why I forgot to do it this time.

Or if they've bought that size in that model before with good results.

Interview in the morning. Wish me luck!

Best of luck to you!

First interview was short and sweet. I never suspected I would be overdressed wearing a tie to a job interview, but I was! Half the staff was walking around in shorts and flip-flops.

Anywho, the interviewer and I got along really well, and I have my second interview scheduled for Tuesday. If it's anything like the first interview, I'm golden.

Years ago, I had a part time job at an animal clinic in Cincinnati. When I first came over for the "interview", the vet was in middle of spaying a dog and while the dog was under and him working the scapel and clamps, he asked why I was all dressed up.

You can't really go wrong being over-dressed for an interview (unless they tell you beforehand that they expect you to help with the painting or something ) -it shows you're taking things seriously.

Good luck on Tuesday :techman:

I know; it was just weird. I figured that somebody in this fancy insurance office would be dressed up, but nope, I was easily the most overdressed person in the whole building. It was bizarre.

You can get totally different expectations for the actual job than the interview. My last job had no dress code and a lot of people actually dressed down for it for comfort's sake...oversized hoodies, crocs, that sort of level. But when people came in for interviews, well, our supervisor complained loudly if they weren't decently dressed. It was a respect thing for him, I think.

Of course, you may be known as "tie guy" from now on, if the employees there have never seen someone come for an interview with a tie on before. :p

Yay! Excellent news. There are many people who are having a tough time even getting an interview these days. I hope the next meeting goes just as well. :)

Second interview tomorrow afternoon, and then I have to rush over to my other job as soon as it's done. Other people were offered their jobs as soon as the second interview was finished, so hopefully tomorrow I will have a new job!

Good luck dude. :techman:

Well, I have no idea how that went. They didn't offer me the job like they did the other people who interviewed, but I also learned that a different person has been put in charge and is going to be conducting the hiring in a different way. Overall, I think my interview went really well, and my friend on the inside claims that they really liked me. Hopefully I hear back soon.
