I need advice on what to do next regarding a female.

By now you've noticed that this is one of my threads, and I'm asking a question regarding females. So I'll answer your question first: No, it is not someone I work with, lol.

So to make a long story short, I joined a dating site. And I got pretty lucky in that I got a response to one of my messages. Not only that she keeps responding to my messages. The only problem is I'm not sure how to escalate the conversation.

So far I've just asked random questions based on her profile and she's responded, but I'm not sure where to go from there. She responds to my messages, so that's something (and yes, I realize that just because she is responding doesn't mean anything).

I'm just not very good at this it seems, any help would be appreciated.

You can meet some nice girls online, even get married, like my roomie who has been married since November. But, until it gets more serious for you, take everything with a grain of salt. Never put all of your eggs in one basket and please verify the person is truthful, to the best of your ability.

My roomie who got married had a hard time dating, he is Chinese and was being pressured by his mom to marry a traditional chinese girl. He didn't want that. So he tried online dating. In his escapades he met a promiscuous japanese girl who seemed to enjoy dating older men, a thai girl with emotional issues, and a filipino girl that actually happened to be a man that was trying to scam him for money.

I do not mean to dissuade you, I am just trying to arouse caution within you. I know dating seems to be a popular topic in Misc. and for the most part the only hard and fast rule I have noticed in dating is that you should always be honest about yourself and never violent or offensive.

Take the direct approach. Just ask her out. What do you have to lose? If she says no you have your answer and you can stop worrying and move on to the next person. If she says yes, congratulations. Either way it's done and over with and you can get on with life.
